The Little Nutcracker
COMING SOON!
This excerpt is from ‘The Little Nutcracker’ picture book
Pip stood up straight, (as straight as he could),
“I’ll get him back! Like a good soldier should.”
Grabbing a red ribbon, he sailed to the floor,
Then outside he went through the flap on the door.
He followed the paw prints left in the snow,
Hoping the way to the lost puppy they’d show.
A strong gust of wind sent him spinning around,
Grabbing a branch he got back to the ground.
“Hello, little one,” a voice purred with glee,
“You’re a fun toy that now belongs to me!”
The neighbour’s cat leapt down from the ledge,
But Pip slipped away through a gap in the hedge.
