The Doops Next Door

An excerpt from ‘The Doops Next Door’

In a quiet place called Willow Street,
All houses the same, front lawns all neat.
A brand-new family moved in to stay,
and it was never the same from that day.

The neighbors all stared, their eyes open wide,
“What are they?” the curious children cried.
“They’re on an exchange from Planet Dooman,
to learn about Earth and understand humans.”

Mr Doop had a square head and three purple arms,
With the strength of ten men and plenty of charm.

Mrs Doop moved by bouncing along the ground,
And her enormous ears could hear for miles around.
